G’day, my name is Jason. Living in Broken Hill, I frequently visit some of Australia’s most iconic film and TV locations, and I’m grateful to work with some of Australia’s best filmmakers on some amazing projects as a local consultant, location scout and field producer. I also really love to take charge of the creative process, through writing, directing, and producing regional stories at all budget levels.

chum short film
Collaborating with local writer and actor Eliza South, Jason directed this Screen NSW supported Screenability film premiered at the 2023 Sydney Film Festival.
Sturts steps digital
Jason was tasked with developing and managing the digital component for Corner Country’s Sturts Steps touring route, including documentary on Charles Sturt, app, website, touchscreens and animations.
united we stand
Travel back in time to the 1909 Lockout with this project, which includes a series of augmented reality postcards featuring recreations of iconic images that come to life.
drama
In addition to working on some of Australia’s most iconic films, television shows and commercials as a local consultant, Jason is passionate about telling his own regional stories. He’s written and directed a bunch of short films over the years and has a slate of feature length projects in development.
DOCUMENTARY
Jason has developed an important archive of regional ‘Outback’ content including working with a range of stakeholders across a variety of formats. These range from a recent 7-part series on the history of explorer, Charles Sturt presented by actor, Neil Pigot, to education stories, news footage coverage of important local events, and First Nations projects with communities in Broken Hill, Wilcannia and Menindee.
